DUMBO

The Guide

Washington Street before nine — the bridge framed between warehouses, and the whole street to yourself.

DUMBO (Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass) has the most photogenic street in New York: Washington Street, where the Manhattan Bridge frames perfectly between two buildings. The neighborhood attracted artists first, then tech companies, then the condos followed. What's left is a neighborhood that's still actually interesting.
